RÖHM has received yet another of the machine engineering industry's most coveted accolades for its global innovation: the Prodex Award, which marks the Prodex trade fair held in Basel, Switzerland. The winning product is the plate chuck from RÖHM's "micro technology" series, with which the clamping and gripping technology specialist offers the world's first system for machining both sides of watch plates in one mounting assembly.
The managing director of the Swiss subsidiary, Damiano Casafina, was presented with the third prize at the Prodex fair. RÖHM had already won the MaschinenMarkt Award at the AMB in September for the same plate chuck. The reaction from those responsible for its development is unanimous: "To receive two prizes for one product in such a short space of time is a clear indication of the huge innovative potential of our plate chuck - and shows that the cross-site collaboration within our group functions perfectly."
The chuck is a joint development of the Swiss RÖHM subsidiary and the German plants in Dillingen and Sontheim. "Our efforts have paid off," is the view of everyone involved.
